Sometimes connection looks like conversation. Sometimes it’s shared quiet, music, laughter, or simply being in the same space for a while. Cloud Couch exists to make room for that kind of presence.

Loneliness has become common, not because people are broken, but because places to truly be with one another are disappearing. We’re here to help change that.

Our mission is simple: to help people feel less alone through human connection.

Our Story

For more than 15 years, my life has existed on both sides of the healthcare system.

As a patient, I navigated significant weight loss, chronic health challenges, and ultimately two kidney transplants. I received excellent clinical care - and alongside it, felt a consistent absence of something just as important: steady, non-clinical human presence. Many moments didn’t need escalation or a diagnosis. They needed space, grounding, and someone to be there.

At the same time, I was building a career inside healthcare and digital health - designing and scaling telehealth operations, patient support systems, and service infrastructure within highly regulated environments. I saw firsthand what those systems do well, and what they are not designed to provide.

What kept showing up in both worlds was the same gap

Loneliness

Healthcare is essential. Therapy is essential. Crisis care is essential. But there is a wide, under-served space between clinical intervention and everyday life, where people simply want intentional human connection without diagnosis, advice, or treatment.

What’s the solution ?

I kept noticing a parallel between my own experience and the lives of the patients I was building support systems for.

Over and over, the same truth came up: sometimes what people need most isn’t another plan, another intervention, or another system to navigate. Like me, they needed presence, and a steady human moment.

We’re not always looking for someone to fix anything. But we are all looking for someone who can simply be there, without expectations.

Cloud Couch was created to meet that need.

It’s a project shaped by lived experience, professional rigor, and a belief that people don’t always need more intervention, they often just need someone there.

If this feels familiar, you’re in the right place.
